Where the Wild Things Are

A look inside our daily life.

Farmers Market Finds

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Our first Saturday without T-ball.  What to do??  I suggested we go to the big farmers market.  It was such fun!.  We picked out so many yummy treats!  The okra and green beans looked delicious!  I know, okra??  That's right.  We got okra, and I fried it!  Yep, only fried one other thing in my life, but I fried okra and it was DELICIOUS!!  The carrots we found were the BIGGEST carrots I have ever seen.  Will couldn't wait to get home and eat one.  We also bought fresh peanuts.  Which I roasted that afternoon.  And, I will tell you, fresh, roasted peanuts are fantastic!!!  Farm fresh eggs and avacados rounded out the morning.  What a treat to take the whole family to see real farmers and buy awesome fresh foods!  Can't wait to go back!
