Where the Wild Things Are

A look inside our daily life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WILL!!!

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Can you believe it??  7 years ago, our lives changed- more than we could have ever imagined!  7 years ago, our little William Andrew came into this world and  I never knew how much I could love someone.  Never knew how my heart could ache when he cried.  How loved I could feel when he would say 'hold you, mommy.'  How proud I could be, so proud my heart could burst, when he stood up for what was right.  So many memories from the last 7 years.  What an amazing little boy he has become.  So sweet, stubborn, smart, kind and loving.

Now Will is seven!  Where has the time gone?  We had a simple birthday- just family this year.  Will didn't want a party- said he had too much stuff and didn't need anything.  Guess he hears that a little too much!  So,we celebrated with Gran.  Started the celebration at school on Friday (he actual birthday) with a cookie cake for his class.  Then, at 12:30, Ron picked him up from school in the Miata.  Will was so excited!  What a smile on his face when he got home.  The boys spent the afternoon playing and looking for Gran.  After Gran arrived, the birthday celebration began.  Will opened gifts, a baseball bat from Grandma and PaPa, rockets from Gran, a new bike helmet and book from Mommy and Daddy, bases from Ben and a game from Kate.  Will was so excited!!  After gifts, we were off to a special birthday dinner at...drumroll, please...  Steak and Shake!  Will loves that place,  you know, they give you little paper cars to build!  After a yummy dinner, we headed home for cake and ice cream.  We were all pretty tired after this- and stuffed!
On Saturday, the boys had a baseball game and after that, we launched rockets!  What fun!!

I already told him happy birthday - but I don't think I have ever seen a baby picture of Will - what a pretty baby! ( i don't tell people that unless they really are pretty babies)
