Sticky, Gooey, Cinnamon Rolls
Saturday, January 1, 2011
This was my first attempt at cinnmon rolls- I think it was a success! Will had asked if I could make them. I said that I never had before, but I would give it a try! It was not nearly as difficult as I had imagined. Paula Dean never lets me down when it comes to gooey, tasty treats!! We all LOVED them! Of course, we will be eating on them for days!

Christmas Visit from Grandma and Papa!
A couple of days after Christmas, Grandma and Papa came for a visit! The kids were so excited. We had such a nice visit. The kids played with Grandma and Papa- Kate was the funniest- she sat on Papa's lap and played tickle bug for at least 45 minutes!! She just kept giggling.
We had such a nice visit!! So much fun seeing the kids with their grandparents!! Wish we lived closer!!

SNOW DAY!!!
Well, we didn't get snow on Christmas, but we did get snow the next day. It actually started snowing late on Christmas night and kept snowing all night. We woke up to about 4 inches. It was so beautiful and we had such fun sleddign and throwing snow balls! The boys spent half the day outside in the COLD playing and being boys! In the afternoon, Ron gathered some fresh snow and I made my first ever batch of Snow Cream. It was DELICIOUS!!!

Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas!!!
We CAN'T wait to get downstairs!!!
We had such a great Christmas morning! The boys woke up around 5:30 am- I jumped out of bed and told them to get back in bed!! It is WAY too early to get up! I finally woke up around 6:50, got the coffee going and then heard little feet upstairs. The boys were up, itching to wake Kate! When Ron and I were both up- 7am- I went up to wake Kate, I asked the boys how long they had been up, Ben said '6 o'clock lasts FOREVER!' It was so funny! We had a nice time opening gifts, stockings and playing with new things! After a delicious breakfast of pancakes, bacon, potatoes, and angel biscuits, we (mostly me and Ron) were in need of a NAP!! We had a wonderful morning, while we miss our extended family, it is nice to have a quite Christmas with just us!
