When Kate took her bath tonight, she started splashing and thought it was really funny. Just thought I'd post this video so you could see. She was having such a great time!!

Will's First Day
Monday, August 25, 2008
When we picked Will up today, he immediately said 'I love kindergarten! I can't wait to go back. I wanted to stay longer!' Ben was mostly concerned with what playground Will played on today. And that was the first thing he asked about! Will told me that he had music class today, ate all of his lunch and snack, learned about walking quietly in the halls and drew a picture of Kate and himself. Will played with Marshall and they had fun! Will also listened to stories on headphones and went to see the flag raising ceremony and said the pledge with the entire school. It was a great day and he is very excited about going back on Friday!! He even said that his teachers might just be nicer that Ms. Kennette!!

First Day of Kindergarten
Well, Will started Kindergarten today. He was so excited! Picked out his own outfit and wanted to wear his dress shoes- had to talk him out of that!
There are four families in our neighborhood that go to MPTS. We are going to carpool with the children in this picture (from left: Olivia, Margaret both in 1st grade, and Thomas in 4th grade).
This was the carpool from this morning. I picked up Jane's 2 oldest and dropped off Ben and Kate- had to walk the others in so it made it so much easier not having the little ones! Boy, carpool is going to be interesting!! The older kids sure have a lot to talk about. Will barely got a word in edgewise. During the conversation started by Thomas about how to extract venom from snakes, Will blurted out as quickly as he could 'I really like the spitting cobra!' I was watching him as we drove in and he was having a ball!!
This is Will after he had put his backpack and lunch away. A little nervous but he did great!!
A few of his new classmates. Only 7 children came today. They will all be together on Friday. The little boy to the left of Will is Marshall. We met him last week on the playground. He is the oldest of a 2 boy and 1 girl family (much like ours- little girl is the baby!) Anyway, the assistant teacher Mrs. Lewis is helping to get Will settled. She is very nice. Will settled right in and got to work on his first project! No tears or wanting to leave!! Of course, I was able to hold the tears off until I was back in the car!! I can't believe he is in Kindergarten!! Where has the time gone! I let you know later how the day went. Ben, Kate and I just stayed around the house- played a little cars and went on a bike ride. I think Ben will be happy when his favorite playmate is home!

Wee School
Ben had orientation for Wee School on Thursday morning. I left Kate and Will at Jane's house- so it was just the two of us- What fun!! Ben has Ms. Suzie and Ms. Kathy as his teachers. For those of you who don't remember- Ms. Suzie was Will's teacher his first year at Wee School. When Ben told Will who is teacher was he said 'I learned a lot from Ms. Suzie!' Out of the mouths of babes!! Ben was a little hesitent at first but once he found the cars he was golden! One of his little friends, Colin, is also in his class, as well as Ms. Melissa's (teacher from last year) little girl Sydney. When I picked him up after the Mommy meeting, he ran into his little girl friend, Helena in the hallway. He had been waiting all summer to see her and he acted so shy!! Anyway, on the way home I asked him if he had fun and he said 'Why couldn't I stay the whole day? Going for just a little while is boring!' I think he is going to have a great year!!
