Where the Wild Things Are

A look inside our daily life.

Here We Snow, Again!!

Monday, March 2, 2009

***Okay, so it didn't snow today. This is from the first part of March.***

***I just have neglected to post anything in quite a while!!!***

This has been a crazy winter! Just last week we had beautiful weather in the low 60's. Friday the rains started and didn't let up until Sunday night when the Snow came. Yes, we had snow, once again. We were really hoping for a really thick blanket. The flakes started falling around 6pm. Ever so lightly at first- then huge, beautiful flakes falling fast. There was about 3 inches by 10pm. The weather forcasted up to 8 inches and heavy snow through the night. School was cancelled by 10:30 (usually they don't cancel until 5am). We went to bed with dreams of a winter wonderland. We were awoken by little voices yelling 'It snowed, it snowed alot!' The boys were just thrilled. We probably ended up with about 4 inches. Perfect snow for building a snowman and for sledding down the neighbors yard. But, as is with southern snows, it is already melting. The sun is shining down from the beautiful Carolina blue sky. By the weekend it is supposed to be 70! Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!
