Where the Wild Things Are

A look inside our daily life.

Happy Birthday, Will!!!

Monday, May 4, 2009

So, it finally happened- Will turned 6 on April 30th. It was such a fun day!! I got up early and picked up breakfast from Panera- Will's favorite! We let him open on gift after breakfast- a helicopter that shoots off a handheld 'thing'. He was so excited and took it outside to play with before carpool. Kate and I were going to meet him at school for lunch and donuts with the class. Will was so excited to see us! He was line leader (a HUGE deal in kindergarten!) and had a birthday crown on that he had made. We ate lunch with his friends Marshall, Keegan and Trent. It was so fun to see Will in his element! Those boys are so silly! After they all finished lunch- I passed out donughts to the class and they sang 'Happy Birthday'. As you can tell in the picture, Will would have been happier if they had skipped that! He is so shy! That evening we celebrated with penne (Will's favorite food!) and cupcakes! Gran came in town that afternoon so she was there for the festivities! We had such fun! We are having a party for Will on Saturday- I will share pictures!
